ANGLICAN Archbishop Thabo Makgoba says SA should not be afraid of excellence and must reject mediocrity and inadequacy seen in the 30 to 40 percent required to pass matric.

The University of the Western Cape will inaugurate new chancellor Thabo Makgoba on Tuesday evening.

ANGLICAN Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu says he is thrilled that Thabo Makgoba, the Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town, is following in his footsteps to become the new chancellor of the University of the Western Cape (UWC).

The Anglican church is hoping for Christ to break the power of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and bring freedom to that country, Cape Town Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba said yesterday.
